Frequently Asked Questions About Singapore's Unique Entity Number (UEN)

The Singaporean government issues each entity doing business there with a unique entity number (UEN), which can be 9 or 10 digits long.

It is a number that is used to precisely identify each registered organization so that they may conveniently interact with different governmental entities, from filing corporate tax returns to asking for import and export licenses, under a single identification number.

The format is frequently a string of nine or 10 characters composed of the following:

Alphanumeric (a combination of numbers and letters)

  • The issuing body
  • Entity type
  • The year when the UEN was released

Note: The UEN number for your company will look something like this depending on the year of registration.
